Fellow (Doctoral) Programme (FP)
Admissions for Batch 2007-09

The Programme

Areas of Specialization: Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Operations Management, Economics, Operations Research, IT, Ergonomics, Safety & Environmental Management.

The programme aims to admit, in the above areas of specialization, the individuals with sound academic background, strong motivation and potential to become excellent researchers at national and international level. Applicants are evaluated on their past academic achievements, motivation and preparation for the programme, seminar presentation on the area of his/her research interest and personal interview.

Eligibility & Selection

Master's Degree or equivalent in Engineering / Technology, Management, Economics, Social Sciences, Biological Science, and Pure Science with First Class will be considered for admission to Fellow (Doctoral) Programme. Those appearing for their final examination in the respective disciplines can also apply.

Industry Sponsored candidates with above eligibility and a minimum of two years experience at executive level can also apply under external category. They will have to stay in the campus for a year to undergo full-time course work.

Reservation and 5% relaxation on 1st Class % marks are applicable to SC / ST / PD candidates as per Govt. of India rules for both the programmes. As per Govt. of India directive, NITIE has decided to introduce reservation for OBC candidates in phased manner from the academic year 2007-08.
For Fellow Programme, the reservation of OBC candidates will be as per Govt. of India rules.
Fulfillment of minimum qualifications is not an automatic claim for Group Discussion, Interview, etc.

Financial Support & Fee

Financial assistance is provided for all candidates for four years but not external category.

How to Apply

Brochure and Application Forms for PGDIE can be obtained from Deputy Registrar (Academic), NITIE, Vihar Lake, P.O. NITIE, Mumbai - 400087 by sending four self-addressed stickers and a DD for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 500/- in case of SC / ST / PD candidates with attested certificates of Caste / Disability) drawn in favour of "NITIE Mumbai" payable at Mumbai. Application forms can also be downloaded from institute website - www.nitie.edu
