Nirma University is a statutory university established under the Gujarat State Act. The Institute of Management (formerly known as Nirma Institute of Management), establiched in 1996, is a constituent institution of Nirma University.
The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the section 2(f) of the UGC Act. The institute is ranked among the top B-schools in the country. The institute has been offering Post Graduate Programmes in Management from its inception and Doctoral Programmes in Management since 1999.

The Programme

The MBA (Family Business & Entrepreneurship) is a two-year full-time residential programme designed to meet the career requirements of young men and women hailing from business families.

Eligibility

A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent in any discipline from a statutory university. Candidates appearing in the final examination of a bachelor's degree can also apply.

In addition, the applicants have to produce a certificate from their parents or in-laws that the applicant is in family business and will join his/her family business after the completion of the programme. The applicant has to provide information about his parents/in-laws business in documentary form.

Application Form

Prospective candidates are required to fill in the application form. To obtain the application form and prospectus, applicants should send a request along with a demand draft for Rs. 500/- favouring Institute of Management, Nirma University payable at Ahmedabad, addressed to the contact details given at the end.

The completed application form should accompany a processing fee of Rs. 1000/-.

Selection Process

The selection procedure for admission consists of two steps: -

The applicants are required to appear for the written test to be conducted by the Institute of Management at Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi. The test consists of the following four sections: -
