The Programme

The Family Business Programme at NMIMS University was started in 1999, to help meet the unique needs of family business owners and managers. The objective of the programme is to assist family-owned businesses in understanding the changing dynamics of competition as well as organization, brought about by
liberalization, privatisation and globalisation. The Programme intends to build a partnership between family business owners, managers and NMIMS University. Its a two year full time programme which aims at training next generation entrepreneurs to run their family business, also offer an opportunity to get a global edge to your business education through an exchange programme with Athens University, Greece.

Eligibility

  • Bachelors' Degree from a recognized University

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Actual involvement in running of the family business

  • Total commitment to self improvement

    Selection Process

    The Institute will assess the suitability of the student, based on the information provided in the application form. There will be no admission test. The applicant will have to go through a rigorous personal interview conducted by a panel, consisting of faculty members of the Institute.

    Application Forms

    Can be acquired from NMIMS, Mumbai on payment of Rs. 1,400/- (non-refundable) in cash.
    Or
    From NMIMS by Courier by enclosing a DD of Rs. 1,500/- (non-refundable, inclusive of courier charges) favouring SVKM's NMIMS, payable at Mumbai with self-addressed cloth envelope of size 10" x 13". Please clearly mention your name, complete address with pincode, your contact number & name of the course applied for, on the envelope and on the reverse side of the DD.

    Important Dates

    Start of Issue of Application Forms: April 16,.2007
    Last Date Issue of Application Forms: May 14, 2007
    Last Date of Receipt of Application Forms: May 31, 2007
    Conduct of Personal Interview at NMIMS (Date of PI will communicate each candidate separately): May 1, 2007 Onwards
    List of Selected Candidates for Admission on Website (www.nmims.edu): First List will be Displayed on May 20, 2007 & Second List will be Displayed on May 25, 2007
    Payment of Fees: June 8, 2007
    Commencement of Regular Classes: July 2, 2007
