Therefore, it is compulsory for candidates seeking admission to the institute to: -

  • Appear for CAT Exam to be held by the IIMs on 18th November 2007.

  • Apply to K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research for admission through on-line Admission Form available on website http://simsr.somaiya.edu and send the same by making credit card payment or sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 1250/- in favour of "SIMSR" payable at Mumbai.


  • Candidates are required to take a printout of the filled form with all details, paste a passport size photograph at the space provided and attach the following: -
          * Attested photocopies of the Work Experience Certificates (to claim credits for work experience), if any.
          * Photocopy of CAT Admit Card,
          * Payment can be made by Credit Card (with no extra cost) / Demand Draft of Rs. 1250/- or Receipt of Learning Centre (IMS / Career Forum / Career Launcher / Professional tutorial).

    Important Dates

  • CAT Exam: 18th November 2007
  • Last Date for Issue & Receipt of Somaiya Application Forms: 15th December 2007
  • Tentative Date of Announcement of Shortlist for GD/PI by K J Somaiya Institute of Management (SIMSR): 15th February 2008
  • Tentative Dates for Conducting GD/PI by SIMSR: 22nd February - 22nd March 2008
  • Tentative Date of Announcement of List of Selected Candidates by SIMSR: 17th April 2008
  • Last Date of Payment of Fee by Selected Candidates (Ist List): Within 15 days of Announcement of Selected List
  • Compulsory Pre-Term Induction Programme: Starts 16th June 2008
  • Regular Classes Commence: From 30th June 2008
