For admission to 2-Year Full-Time PG Programs in Management at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee

Organizing Institute: Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Joint Management Entrance Test 2009 (JMET 2009) is the first step in the process of admission to the 2-Year Full-Time Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by IITs for the academic year commencing July/August 2009.

Currently, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.

JMET 2009 is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have to apply separately to the Institutes of their choice. They are also advised to look up the details provided in the brochure about the programmes available in the participating institutes. There is no limit to the number of programmes a candidate can apply to, so long as he or she meets the eligibility criteria. The results of JMET 2009 provide a basis to each participating institute to shortlist potential candidates for conducting its own selection process, like, Group Discussion / Interview, etc.

IIT Bombay: Master of Management (M.Mgt.).
IIT Delhi: MBA with focus on Management Systems; MBA with focus on Tele-Communication Systems Management.
IIT Kanpur: Master of Business Administration (MBA).
IIT Kharagpur: Master of Business Administration (MBA).
IIT Madras: Master of Business Administration (MBA).
IIT Roorkee: Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The Application Process

JMET 2009 Application Form can be submitted using ONLINE (Internet based) mode only. ONLINE submission of JMET 2009 application can be done by accessing the website of IIT Kanpur - http://www.iitk.ac.in/gate/jmet/secpg.php - and following the instructions contained therein. Before filling up on-line application form, please prepare a draft of Rs. 750/- (Rs. 350/- only for SC/ST candidates) in favour of 'Organising Chairman, JMET 2009' payable at Kanpur, and one of your recent, good contrast coloured photographs. The Application fee is not refundable.
