The Institute

The Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC) is the training wing of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), a
non-profit organization and the largest bi-national Chamber of Commerce in India with over 6,700 member companies across diverse sectors. IGTC serves as the common training platform for the IGCC member companies to nurture application-oriented, general management trainees for their future requirements. This is done through its unique, full-time Post Graduate Program in Business Administration, based on the German Dual System of Training, which facilitates a close interlocking of academic course work and on-the-job training into one learning system, and results into a new qualitative dimension in business administration education.

A cumulative strength of 100 selected trainees is taken across the Three Indo-German Training Centres (40 in Mumbai, 30 each in Chennai and Bangalore).

The Program

IGTC's flagship program is the 18-months, full-time Post Graduate Program in Business Administration based on the famed German Dual System - integrating six months of hands-on practical training in a participating member company with one year of theoretical learning at the Training Centre. Several IGCC member companies regularly partner with IGTC to accept trainees who could be groomed to meet the company's requirements for future managerial talent. IGTC facilitates the selection process, and based on preferences of participating companies, admits an exclusive class of students to the IGTC program.

World-class German and Indian Companies that are active training partners and final recruiters include Auma, BASF, Bajaj Allianz, Bayer, Behr India, Bharat Forge Ltd., Bosch, DHL Express, Deutsche Bank, Dorma India, Eirich Transweigh, Endress + Hauser, Epcos India, Fuchs Lubricants, Inverto Sourcing India, HyperCity Retail India, Lanxess, MAN Force Trucks, Merck, Mettler-Toledo, Schwing Stetter, Siemens, Suzlon, Volkswagen, Zensar Technologies among many others. Besides these, there are many other small and medium-sized companies also, who are active participants in the program. These companies choose the students for training on the basis of their aptitude, attitude and perceived employability on completion of the program, although no employment guarantees are given.
