The Institute

FCGMS strives to be the 'first choice' for aspirants seeking 'practical' industry relevant management education with the right perspective needed to build outstanding professional careers. The curriculum is based on a unique Power Triad Framework which blends conceptual learning with job skills and perspective.

Programme Details

FCGMS offers a 15-month autonomous Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). Spread over 6 terms, the programme's core module comprises both conceptual foundation and job skill oriented courses in addition to three unique perspective builder courses. In addition, the student will do 15 elective courses.

Skill building courses are offered in partnership with FranklinCovey

  • Foreign language course (Mandarin Chinese / French / Spanish)
  • Certification course in Supply Chain Management offered through SMI, a part of the European Business School

    • Admission Process

    Eligibility

  • A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a University recognized by UGC with minimum 50% marks in aggregate
  • Candidates with work experience will be given preference
  • Candidates with a valid GMAT / CAT / XAT / MAT score will be given preference

    Shortlisting Criteria

    The next stage of the admission process is the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates will be selected on the basis of the following criteria:

    Attribute Description Weightage
      Work Experience Quality of work experience - companies worked, nature of job etc. 30%  
      Academic Profile Academic performance from Class 10 to Graduation 30%  
      GMAT / CAT / XAT   Scores Scores in each section and overall test scores 25%  
      Essays Statement of purpose 10%  
    Essay 2 5%  


    Admissions

    Post the GD and PI, the first list of candidates will be announced based on results of all the stages mentioned above. Waitlisted students will also be informed of their status.

    Financial Aid

    FCGMS has an institutional tie-up with the State Bank of India (SBI) and Andhra Bank. Students who are desirous of availing Educational Loans from any of the above mentioned banks may do so at the receipt of 'Offer of Admission' by approaching any of the designated branches. SBI and Andhra Bank will extend loans as per eligibility. Interested students may contact the Administration Department, FCGMS for necessary assistance.

    Scholarships

    Merit Scholarships

    The top three students will be chosen for the Merit Scholarships at the end of each term (Terms 1 to 5). A minimum GPA of 3.5 required to be eligible for this scholarship.

    Dean's Gold Medal

    This award is conferred on the top performing student, based on the CGPA computed at the end of the 6th term. The student would get a Gold Medal and a cash prize of INR 100,000.

    Business Leadership Award

    This award is given for the Best Business All-Rounder. The winner would get a Gold Medal and a cash prize of INR 100,000/-.


    Admission Process Timelines

    Last date for submission of completed application forms 15th July   2009  
    List of shortlisted candidates for GD/PI 5th June   2009   - 20th July 2009
    GD / PI process 8th June-30th   July 2009  
    Release of first and second list of students admitted to the programme 21st July   2009  
    Last date for payment of registration fee of Rs. 100,000 for the first list of selected students (for Seat Confirmation) 26th July   2009  
    Acceptance of waitlisted candidates 1st August   2009  
    Last date for payment of registration fee of Rs.100,000 for the second list of selected students (for Seat Confirmation, upon intimation on 6th June) 5th August   2009  
    Completion of loan / fee collection process for waitlisted students 8th August   2009
