About the Institute

Xavier Institute of Management & Research, the successor to the erstwhile XIM, is the youngest member of the Jesuit Education Network, the oldest and largest in the world, spread over 5 continents. In India, this network includes top-notch B-Schools like XLRI, XIMB, LIBA, etc.

Programme Objectives

  • To provide students with a thorough grounding in general management through holistic education
  • To develop a deep appreciation of issues related to developing and sustaining competitive advantages in global markets
  • To develop professional, socially responsive leaders with the ability to function in different cultures and contexts

    • Admission Procedure

    Total intake 61 seats (60 + 1 J & K) of which,

  • Roman Catholic Minority - 31 seats

  • Institute level (Management)- 12 seats: For Institute Level seats, For Institute level seats, the Institute requires CAT / XAT / CET scores followed by GD & PI conducted by XIMR (only for CAT / XAT Candidates) or final score of MH - CET candidates . Minimum 2 years relevant work experience will be an added advantage.

    CAT/XAT scores will be converted to CET equivalent scores using formula. GD / PI scores will then be added to arrive at the final scores.

  • CAP of DTE - 18 seats: For CAP (Centralized Admission Process) vacancies, admission will be as per DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) norms.

    • Application Forms are available online & from XIMR Office on payment of INR 1,000 in cash or DD drawn in favour of "Xavier Institute of Management & Research" payable at Mumbai.

  • Issuance of form both online & from XIMR Office: 19 June to 2nd July, 2009
  • The last date for receiving completed form at the institute's office: 3 July, 2009
