About the Programme

A two-year, full-time residential program, Amrita's MBA is considered on par with the best in the world. The corner stone of pedagogy in this MBA program is the Case Study Method. This method of learning is used to develop problem-solving and decision-making skills by facilitating the application of theoretical concepts to real life situations.

Eligibility

The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.

Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30, 2010. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31, 2010. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.

Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.

Application Process

1. ASB prospectus & application form can be obtained from any of the following admissions offices (see Contact Information below) by sending a crossed DD of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favor of 'Amrita School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham' payable at Coimbatore.

2. ASB prospectus and application form can be downloaded from the website and printed. Please fill in all the details affix your photograph, enclose the above-mentioned DD and mail it to the above-mentioned address. The admissions brochure will be couriered to you on receipt of your completed application form.

3. Brochure and application form can be purchased from the select branches of Axis Bank by paying the required fees. Please click to see list of branches.

4. ASB prospectus & application form can be procured from select centers of IMS, T.I.M.E. and Erudite.

Selection Process

All candidates seeking admission to Amrita's MBA Programs should appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Nov 2009.

NRIs and Foreign Nationals are required to take the GMAT test.
