SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) was started in 1981. It was declared as a Deemed University in 2003. It ranks among the top ten management institutes of our country. NMIMS is committed to nurturing the social entrepreneurs of tomorrow and strengthen the social entrepreneurs of today. In this context in 2007, NMIMS designed and launched a uniquely architectured One Year Diploma Programme in Social Entrepreneurship and a Three Year Part Time MBA Programme in Social Entrepreneurship

The Programme

The weekend part-time programme aims at providing managerial inputs for those who have work experience in the social development sector and also to those who wish to develop their career in the social sector. The Diploma Programme in Social Entrepreneurship will be completed in 3 trimesters (One Year). Classes will be arranged between 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturdays and 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sundays.

Applications can be made online by visiting: http://university.nmims.edu

The application fee for the said courses is Rs. 1000/- (One thousand only) which can be paid vide demand draft drawn in favour of “SVKM’s NMIMS”, and sent at the Accounts Office at the NMIMS address. The candidates applying online should enclose a copy of the acknowledgement received after applying with the DD.

Forms are also available for sale in hard copy at the Accounts Department of NMIMS during office hours (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, except on Bank Holidays) by paying Rs. 1000/- in cash.

Application forms can also be obtained by post/courier by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of “SVKM’s NMIMS” payable at Mumbai.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on selection test which will comprise of

a) Essay Test
b) Personal Interview

The selection test will be held at the NMIMS Campus. The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the website and on the institute notice board one week after the selection test.
