The Programme
Political instability, growing globalization and competition and rapid social and technological change are increasingly characterizing the world of business and industry. Managers today, therefore, are faced with the challenge to rapidly absorb the changes in information technology and leverage them within their functional role. This program equips students with tools to solve management problems with a strategic outlook. The integrated nature of this program trains the students to inculcate the abilities of solving complex business problems as well as an e-touch.

The electives and the core courses will ground you to be ready to take on challenges in the area of information technology along with the business fundamentals in the areas of economics, finance, marketing, operations and behavioral sciences. The second year offers more number of electives than any other B-School in India.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Indian Students

  1. A Bachelor's degree recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE as eligible for Postgraduate studies OR an equivalent degree in Agriculture, Arts, Commerce, Engineering and Science.

  2. Candidates appearing at the final bachelor's degree or equivalent degree examinations are also eligible to apply provided they complete all their graduating requirements including practical examinations/assignments before June 30 of the proposed year of admission. Their admission will, however, be considered provisional until they produce their marksheet satisfying the eligibility criterion. The time limit for submitting the graduating marksheet is December 31 of the proposed year of admission.

  3. Eligibility criterion for PGDCM: No formal specialization in either computers or management would be required for admission to the program. However, knowledge of mathematics at the graduate level would be assumed.

  4. Open University graduates must show proof of minimum three years after class twelve and a certificate from the university equivalent to a bachelors degree.

  5. Diplomas like Hotel Management, Fashion Technology are not eligible unless equivalent certificates to a three-year university degree are provided.

Reservation
There is a 22.5% reservation for SC/ST students.

Overseas Candidates
Non-Resident Indians or Foreign nationals staying outside India for a considerable period of time will be eligible to seek admission to the PGP programs as overseas candidates. Overseas candidates would have to apply with their GMAT scores. The score should not be older than two years as on December 31, 2004.
