Executive Post-Graduate Programme in Management

The Programme
Executive PGP is a uniquely designed programme for working executives/ entrepreneurs/ professionals. The objective of the programme is to provide an opportunity for practicing executives to enhance their knowledge and skills on a continual basis.

Eligibility
A graduate in any discipline with at least 5 years of post-degree, managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience. Organizational sponsorship is desirable.

Admission Procedure
Admission to the Executive Post-Graduate Programme will be through a competitive written test conducted by IIM Indore followed by group discussion/interview. The details regarding the written test will be announced through all leading national dailies.

Duration
The programme would be of 18 months duration.

Programme Structure
The programme would consist of 6 terms, each of three months duration. As per the norms prescribed by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and also by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for the post-graduate programme in management, the programme would have a total course load of 1200 hours during the eighteen-month period. The participants would receive a total of 780 hours of classroom input and would take up project work associated with each course for the remaining 420 hours, during the programme. The class input of 780 hours would consist of 600 hours of compulsory courses and 180 hours of electives in their field of specialization.

At the beginning of each term, the participants would receive the study material for the courses to be taught in the term. Classes will be held for 6 to 9 hours per day during the campus visit. In the first campus visit of each term, there will be a pre-module written exam based on the reading material given at the beginning of the term along with the regular classes for nine days. There can be a mid-term on the last day of the first campus visit. In the interim period of minimum 15 days, before the second campus visit, the participants are expected to revise and absorb the classroom learning and complete assignments given during first visit. Additionally, they need to prepare themselves for regular classes during the second visit. The second campus visit would have regular classes and end-term examination. There may be a test conducted by the course-instructors on their arrival for the second visit as well. The participants would be expected to submit the project at the end of the post-campus module.
