Admission Notification for Academic Session 2005-2007

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (EX-PGP)
(For executives working anywhere in the country)

The Programme

This three-year part-time programme is designed for executives, working anywhere in the country. The curriculum is similar to our two-year full-time PGP in Business Management. The participants will reside in the campus for 15 days at a time, thrice a year. In the intervening period, they are expected to complete the assigned readings and projects.

Eligibility

• Minimum three year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as eligible for Post-Graduate studies in Management;

• At least 3 years of experience in executive capacity in an organization of repute in the public, private or non-governmental sector. Self-employed persons should have minimum 5 years experience after obtaining qualifying degree;

• Age limit: Between 24 and 45 years as on 01.07.2005; and

• No Objection or sponsorship certificate from the employer.

Admission Process

XIMB Application: Fill the online application for admission to XIMB's Ex-PGP, available at the XIMB admission site http://ximb.blueshift.com/ximb2005/index3.htm.

Upon successfully filling the online application form the payment advice will appear on the screen. The applicant must take a printout of the same. This payment advice has to be mailed to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by a non-refundable Demand Draft for Rs.800/-, made out in favour of Xavier Institute of Management and drawn on State Bank of India, RRL Branch (Code: 7499), Bhubaneswar. DDs drawn on other banks and payable at Bhubaneswar will also be accepted. On receipt of the DD (or cash across the XIMB counter) for the required amount and the payment advice (with photograph & signature), the Bulletin 2005 will be mailed to the applicant. The acceptance of XIMB application will be subject to the receipt of the payment and the payment advice by XIMB.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be called for Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview session at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata or Mumbai. Screening for interviews will be based on a candidate's past academic performance and relevant work experience. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses.
