The first day of CAT 2010 concluded successfully with no surprises this year. A total number of 4548 candidates registered for the CAT today and the morning session has concluded successfully, said Soumitra Roy—MD, Prometric India.

A total of 2.04 CAT aspirants have registered this year, who will be taking the test in the entire test period of 20 days.

Alike CAT 2009, there were sixty questions this year too—twenty questions each for QA, VA as well as DI-LR. This year too CAT aspirants found QA as the toughest sections.

Unlike last year, CAT 2010 was a glitch free experience as reported by many aspirants taking this online test. “There were no glitches caused in the online test, it was smooth going as CAT 2010 practical guide was there on catiim website many days prior to test,” said a test taker.

CAT 2010 is a 20 day long computer based test for admission to peer b-schools in India—IIMs and 159 other B-Schools. The test is being delivered across the country at 240 computer labs in 78 test centres at 33 cities.

The results of CAT 2010 will be declared on January 12.
