IIM-A launches International Case Masters 2013-the annual case writing contest

Confluence 2013, IIM Ahmedabad’s Annual International Business Summit recently launched the 2013 edition of its flagship case writing contest - ‘International Case Masters’. The event invites entries from students and faculty members across the world to study the current trends in management.

The objective of this case competition is to promote study of changing global management practices. The institute has been a centre of excellence for research on current management issues for many years now; and the theme of Confluence 2013– ‘Traversing Turbulent Times: Obstacles to Opportunities’ has been designed to reflect the same.
 

The event was organized for the first time as a part of Golden Jubilee celebration of the institute in 2011 and saw great turn out from colleges around the world. Some of the participating institutions in the previous editions include NUS Business School, Singapore, Said Business School and University of Oxford. The judging panel members include eminent professors from well-known institutes including IIM Ahmedabad and other partner institutes such as IIM Bangalore, ESSEC Business School With prize money to the tune of Rs. 180,000 the event requires participants to write case studies from real life situations in organization which may be used as teaching aid in business schools. The theme for case studies can be across administration, governance and management. Prospective participants include students and faculty of premier management institutes in India and abroad. Each team needs a minimum of one student to be a part of it. The registration for the same closes on September 20, 2013.
