PPO’s galore at DMS, IIT Delhi

Department of Management Students, IIT Delhi students have always aimed towards excellence and their unrelenting quest has continuously been acknowledged by the industry. Summer internship not only provides the opportunity for the students to get acquainted with the outside corporate world but it also presents an excellent opportunity for the industry to scout for the skillful individuals having the potential to take it to the next level.

It is for this precise reason that the number of PPOs/PPIs indicates the success of any B-School. The current batch of students of 2011-2013 batch have been continuously setting up the bar with 32% of the batch offered PPOs/ PPIs as an appreciation for their hard work during summer internship and a reflection of the fact that DMS understands the needs of the industry and makes its students employable through its flexible curriculum and continuous interaction with industry stalwarts.

Esteemed recruiters from the whole gamut of industries-banking and finance, FMCG, Consultancies, IT and Technology based companies like American Express, Citibank, Nomura, Reckitt Benkiser, General Electric, RPG, HP, Mitsui Chemicals have not only recruited the summer interns but also offered much revered profiles to the department students. General Electric, among the top 10 Fortune companies, has been extremely pleased with its long term relationship with the department and offered half-a-dozen PPOs to its summer interns from the department. This fact doesn't come up as a surprise as the best summer intern awards for the internationally acclaimed FMP and ITLP profiles of GE were given to two students of DMS, IITD this year. The on-campus round of placements this season, which is still in progress, has seen overwhelming response from the industry. Students have been offered a wide choice in terms of the kind of roles across various domains in multiple sectors.

One of the primary reasons for the unparalleled success of its students has been an uncompromising focus on the quality of student intake. A high CAT percentile cutoff of 98.85%ile speaks for itself and the emphasis faculty puts on while selecting the students.
