Winston Churchill once said It is always wise to look ahead, but difficult to look further than what you see. Leaders and achievers tend to have a very long and focused vision, so that they can easily analyze and foresee the future based on the past and present happenings.
As management students, we are going to take up various kinds of leadership roles in the near future. Therefore it becomes imperative for us to understand how to look beyond the conventional aspects of the world to have that edge.
Keeping this theory in view, Ahvan12 follows a tradition of inviting some distinguished and eminent personalities as guest speakers, under its event ENVISION. The speakers who are stalwarts in their own field, share their experiences and knowledge with the vast student community. This gives everyone a unique opportunity to listen to them and learn not only various aspects of different and varied fields but also understand what takes in the making of a leader.
This year IIM Indore will be hosting a diverse group of speakers which includes Mr. Kris Ramachandran; currently the advisor to the Aditya Birla Group, Mr. Sayed Nasir Ali; Joint MD of Air India, Mr Kris Ashol; Head of web 2.0 innovation lab at TCS, Mr Madan Mohan Rao; Research director at Yourstory.in and Maya Sharma; Chief correspondent at NDTV.
India is moving ahead at a very pace, and requires more and more of the young people to come forward and not only occupy different roles and responsibilities but also fulfill them successfully. Nothing teaches one more than his or her own experience, and students have a lot to gain from the experiences of these eminent personalities. Therefore it is time we set our acts right and join in hands with these people to have the clear vision of tomorrow and work towards nation building. To build a nation to be cherished by us, and our future generations alike, the need of the hour is to ENVISION.
