SPJIMR Mumbai inaugurates 3rd batch of PG Certificate in International Management

The third batch of the Post-Graduate Certificate in International Management (PGCIM) conducted by SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) was inaugurated on July 06, 2012. A total of 20 credit courses are taught in the PGCIM program, spanning over 6 months.

Leading Business Schools in Europe have accepted credits acquired from the PGCIM program (commonly called credit transfer mechanism) for the successful completion of their Masters degree in Management. These students, after successful completion of PGCIM are directly eligible for admission to second year of the MBA program offered by ESB Business School, Reutlingen University, Germany and Masters in International Business (MIB) offered by IESEG School of Management, Lille, France.


Dr.Sesha Iyer, Director, SPJIMR, Dr. Stephen Murdoch, Associate Dean and Director International Relations, IESEG and Dr. Elias Hadzilias, former Director of MIB Program, IESEG School of Management and Dr. Debasis Mallik, Head of the PGCIM Program were present for the Inauguration.


Dr. Iyer spoke about the mission and philosophy of SPJIMR and the unique value of International Programmes and the value it creates for future managers to face the global challenges.


Dr. Stephen Murdoch shared with the audience key information about the IESESG School of Management, a top ten B-School in Franc e and he also shared the culture of the Institute, with students coming from more than 50 countries.


Dr. Ellias Hadzilias gave an overview of the Masters in International Business (MIB) Programme, the international faculty body, international diversity of student at IESEG and curriculum and accreditation.

Dr.Debasis Mallik, Programme Head, PGCIM, gave a brief about the PGCIM programme architecture and the courses offered by SPJIMR.


Prof. Malay Krishna, Coordinator, International Collaborations, SPJIMR, spoke about SPJIMRs international strategy, current collaborations, and some success stories of PGCIM alumni, who are working at global firms such as World Bank, Siemens and Mckinsey and Co., etc.
