Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development was started in 1993 under the aegis of the Symbiosis Society. SCMHRD started its functioning from Atur Centre in Model Colony under the guidance of founder Director Prof M S Pillai.


In 2006, SCMHRD came under the Symbiosis International University and started to offer an MBA degree.

Application Process

Candidates intending to apply to SCMHRD for its two year full-time residential MBA program, first need to apply for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP test) - www.snaptest.org. SNAP test is a common entrance test mandatory for students to apply to any post-graduate programs of Symbiosis. On applying for SNAP test, candidates will be allotted a unique number called the SNAP ID.

 

After apply for SNAP test, candidates are required to register on SCMHRD's website. On registering successfully, candidates will be alloted a Security Identification ID (SID) Key on screen as well as by email using which they can login to the admissions website. The SID key will uniquely identify the candidate and will have to be specified for all communications with the institute.

 

On receipt of SID Key, candidates can login to the SCMHRD Admissions Website . and make a payment of Rs. 1000 towards application fee. The payment can be made in one of the following modes -

From selected branches of AXIS Bank.  Payment should be made latest by 11th Jan 2011. Click here to download AXIS Bank Payment Slip (Challan).

 

Online using credit card / debit card on SNAP website or on SCMHRD website from till 11th Jan 2011.

By sending a demand draft amounting Rs. 1,000 in favour of 'Director, Symbiosis Centre for Mgmt. & HRD' payable at Pune, along with your SNAP ID, SID Key, name, address, phone nos. and e-mail id mentioned behind your DD. Demand draft should be dated 11th Jan 2011 or earlier and should reach us lastest by 11th Jan 2010. Click here for our address.

Q. Please explain the various stages in admission process for each of the programs offered by you. (E.g., test, interview, group discussions, etc.)
A. Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is a common written test for the admission process of Symbiosis postgraduate institutes. It is a mandatory written test for admission into any postgraduate programme at Symbiosis. However, it is only the first step. Each institute has its own selection process and a student aspiring to pursue higher studies at Symbiosis needs to do the following:

Step 1: Submit application for the SNAP test

Step 2: Submit application form for the Symbiosis Institutes of your choice

Step 3: Appear for SNAP Test

Step 4: Appear for GD / PI process

 

SNAP Test duration is 120 minutes. SNAP test is an objective test. Each question has 4 responses. Candidate should choose an appropriate response. It has 4 sections. In three sections, each question carries one mark and in one section each question carries 2 marks. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks.
