CRISIL Audited IIM A PGP-ABM Summer Placements Report

The Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management kicked off its summer placement process for the first year students on 14th of November 2011. by 15th November afternoon, the entire process was completed.


As manay as 23 companies participated in the selection process, which included regular recruiters like Rabobank, Mansanto, Marico, Bayer CropScience, Syngenta, Heinz, Britannia, Godrej Agrovet, and Tata Rallis. This year, the placements also attracted new recruiters like Netafim, Tata Amalgamated Plantations, Enercon India and Huvepharma SEA, showing the increasing visibility of the programme.

 

A variety of roles were offered across sectors such as FMCG, Agricultural Inputs, Banking, Consulting, Renewable Energy, Food & Agribusiness Advisory, and Plantations. Huge diversity was seen in the internship roles offered to students, with one student getting an offer from the Office of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in a role related to rural development, while others getting roles ranged from Strategy, Marketing, Commodity Trading, Sales and Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Research and Advisory.
