IIM Trichy concludes Summer Placements 2011-13, Highest offer 1.2 lac

Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli has successfully concluded its summer placement for the batch of 2011–13. The Summer Placement Season had 40 companies recruiting 83 students for internships in various domains such as Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR, Consulting and Strategy.
The placement followed a rolling process, and was conducted in two stages separated by a term break.
IIM Tiruchirappalli goes Global
The placement process started in the grandest possible manner with an international offer. Other highlights were the visit of FMCG majors to the campus, offers of diverse finance profiles from investment banking to rural finance, and the possibility of three more international offers, subject to the availability of projects and visa formalities. IIM Tiruchirappalli has catered to the career aspirations of every student; even certain niche and unique interests such as renewable energy, mobile healthcare and online marketing were considered while placing students. One student chose to venture out on her own to pursue her interest in the field of Corporate Sustainability. The average stipend offered for the internship period was Rs. 53,000, excluding travel, accommodation & other benefits and the highest domestic offer was Rs. 1,20,000.
We have had the privilege of having renowned companies on campus for our inaugural summer internship recruitment process. The recruiters who offered marketing roles were HUL, P&G International, Perfetti van Melle, Pfizer, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Rediff.com, Amul, Berger Paints, Arvind Limited, IOCL, Edu Nirvana, mHealth Ventures, Natesan Synchrocones, Innopark and Tata Metaliks. In the finance space, the recruiters were Citibank, HSBC, ING Vysya, ICICI, Yes Bank, L&T, NCDEX, UBI, IFMR and Kotak Mahindra. Profiles in the areas of Consulting, Operations, HR and Strategy were offered by Cognizant Business Consulting, Mahindra & Mahindra GMC, IBM Research, Wipro, Lumis Partners, VFS Global, Redington, IL&FS, Index Advisory, Tata Chemicals, Murugappa Group, Gammon India, Impetus Consulting, XIndia Steels and Sterling & Wilson.
