Introduction

Established in 1980,TAPMI is committed to Excellence in Management Education, Research and Practice for improving the effectiveness of organizations with a holistic concern for Environment, Ethics and Society. The institute is located in the south west of India at Manipal, Udupi District, Karnataka.

Courses Offered

1. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

The two year full time Post Graduate Programme has three terms in the first year, and two in the second year.

The First Year of the programme gives a through grounding in basic disciplines and broad functional areas and provide a strong foundation for advanced courses in second year. The Second Year provides main opportunities by offering the students a wide range of courses in their areas of interest.

2. Post Graduate Diploma in Entrpreneurship and Management (PGDEM)

This programme provides tremendous opportunity for the students to gain the unique and intense knowledge, skills and competence necessary for the successful launch of new ventures and for managing new ventures / family business on completion of the programme.

Eligibility for PGDM and PGDEM
A three year (10+2+3) degree in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as eligible for Post Graduation with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) or those with professional qualifications like CA, CS or ICWA can also apply.

Candidates appearing for final year degree examination in 2004 can also apply.

Admission Process for PGDM and PGDEM
Admission to both the Management Programmes i.e. PGDM and PGDEM is through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted jointly by the six IIMs.

The candidates, short listed on the basis of their CAT scores will be called to Manipal for GD, Written Test and Personal Interviews.

Due weightage will be given to candidates who have prior work experience in industry, business, armed forces, and government. and/or also to those who are sponsored by their Organizations.

Fees and Expenses
For PGDM and PGDEM Rs. 3.05 Lacs for the entire programme Fees for hostel & food are charged separately.
