IIM Lucknow’s Noida campus launches first e - Management Development Programme in HR

IIM Lucknow’s Noida campus launches its first e - Management Development Programme in a specific area i.e. Executive Program in Human Resource Management (EPHRM). The programme will have a three-day induction at IIM Lucknow’ s Noida campus from September 14 - 16, 2009.

EPHRM is a 15 weeks program divided as 40 hours of e-enabled interactive sessions and 20 hours on IIM Lucknow’ s Noida campus. The first batch of Executive Program in Human Resource Management(EPHRM) includes 75 HR professionals. After the three-day campus module, the program will be delivered through classes held at NIIT Imperia Centres for Advanced Learning.

According to Prof. Punam Sahgal and Prof. Ajay Singh, Programme Directors, “The Program is designed to provide training in the techniques and nuances in human resource management expected of a successful professional in the corporate sector, banks, and financial institutions or in any entrepreneurial venture. The programme will focus on new trends and challenges facing HR professionals today”.

The unique feature of the program is the context in which the program will be delivered. The economic slowdown has had an impact on all the aspects of the business and in this context the HR response to the economic slowdown becomes the key to success. The program will also touch upon the HR challenges in the slowing economy to prepare working executives to come up with appropriate response to the current environment.

The program is suitable for Human Resource professionals in the corporate sector with more than two years’ experience, seeking to develop their careers in HR departments. The program will also be relevant for those who are running/heading any business/profit centre and are engaged in managing human resources on a regular routine basis. Consultants engaged in the area of human resources, training and development activities or those supporting organizational behaviour would find the program challenging and stimulating.

Concluded.
