The major events of Amaethon are Saakar (the Business Plan Contest), Shodh (the Paper Presentation Contest), Agri'gate (the Case Analysis Contest) and AgriMARK (the Marketing Plan Contest). These would be supplanted by several informal events as well.

Also, an interesting session is a panel discussion on emerging dairy industry in India and world. This is only open to the best two teams of each session. The Panel Discussion is called "The Milky Way Forward". The information given to participants is deliberately kept open ended to check their ability to get things into perspective.

The speakers include Mr. B. M. Vyas, the Managing Director of GCMMF who would speak on emerging markets in processed food and also about perishable retailing that's picking up in the country. Amaethon would also be host to Mr. P. R. Anil Kumar, who is the Chief Manager of Rural Microbanking and Agri Business Group, ICICI Bank Limited, who would be talking about emerging trends in agri-financing and about the rural financial market.

The two-day event also includes a plethora of exciting on-the-spot events that would keep the participants busy. These would be informal events aimed at making the event more of an overall experience.

The event would be inaugurated at RJMCEI Auditorium of IIM Ahmedabad on 29th January 2005 and would conclude after the prize distribution ceremony on 30th January.
