Ramesh Padmanabhan who is the COO of MPhasis later emphasized on the need for agility and strategy to shape the future by moving the boundaries transcontinental, and raising the bar up consistently. There is a need to change the scenario where we have fragmentation between the various components of IT Company, to an integrated IT-BPO entity. This needs the assessment of existing models in current markets like SLA adherence, revenue models, FTE based process, and then make a path to accommodate the customers' interests by incorporating business intelligence, process management tools, quality workforce management, digitization tools and pricing based on annuity models and a creation of platform for virtual team based processes.

K. Suresh, Senior Manager, Kanbay in the post-lunch session has given a detailed account of the role played by the testing teams, which greatly aid the developmental teams in test running software and other corroborative activities like debugging. The popular "iteams" of kanbay are an illustration of this. They have given an entirely new definition to this aspect of functionality and have gone a long way in proving it with outstanding success.

Later, the managerial analysis of information technology and the road ahead at Systems Continuum 2005 took a social perspective with Mr. Sunil Joshi, Vice-president (Global Delivery) of Mahindra British Telecom (MBT) talking about the power of information and communication technologies (ICT) and its impact on society.

Mr. Joshi talked about the paradigm shift of the role of IT and ICT into the world of DSL, Fiber communications, VoIP from the old age communication technologies. He presented the multimedia home of the technological future, and use of area based, location aware, GPS, remote-monitoring technologies. He stressed on the seamless interoperability that seems to have become the order of the day.

Taking the example of the TeNet Group of IIT Madras, which aims at providing telephone and Internet access in remote villages of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Joshi emphasized on the societal impact and the power of information and communication technologies. He also demonstrated the usefulness of ICT innovations in remote eye-care and diagnosis, agri-consultancy and financial services. His relevant examples imbibed with the social impact of ICT innovations provided a valuable insight into the future uses of ICT technologies.
