IMI Ties-up With Flinders University, Adelaide

Restructures its flagship Post Graduate Programme in International Management (PGPIM)

New Delhi, June 03, 2005: IMI has added another feature that further strengthens the value proposition offered by its flagship PGPIM programme. The Institute has entered into an arrangement with Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia whereby after completing the PGPIM at IMI, students will have the option of earning an MBA (International Business) degree at Flinders University at a highly accelerated pace through credit transfer for courses done at IMI.

"This gives the PGPIM students the opportunity to acquire two international business degrees from two different parts of the world - a truly international experience," said Dr. Himadri Das, Program Director (PGPIM).

"The willingness of Flinders University for the credit transfer arrangement is recognition of the quality of IMI’s restructured PGPIM and its relevance in the international business education arena," added Dr. C. S. Venkata Ratnam, Director IMI.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development approved 22nd 11-month transformational programme, which is designed for enabling executives with work experience to take up globally-oriented management positions. The Institute has also restructured its flagship Post Graduate Program in International Management (PGPIM) to cater to contemporary market needs. The Institute's 22nd batch commences from August 1, 2005.

"We are happy to say that after a great deal of hard work and a series of brainstorming sessions with corporate stakeholders representing a wide cross-section of businesses, we have been able to restructure and redesign a unique course for the Corporate World," said Dr. C. S. Venkata Ratnam, Director, International Management Institute.

The programme has been designed for executives with 3 or more years of post graduation work experience. A key target segment is company sponsored executives who would return to their companies after the programme. The programme also targets self sponsored executives who will finance their participation in the programme. These self sposnored executives will be assisted by IMI for lateral placements. The programme is also ideal for self employed individuals and International professionals.
