Lakshya On-the-Job Achievers' Contest: Call for Participation from NITIE-Mumbai

National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) announces the dates of its annual flagship event 'Lakshya'. The eighth edition of the widely awaited event shall be held from 12th to 14th of October 2007.

The Lakshya On-the-Job Achievers' Contest provides a platform for the practicing managers to showcase their talent and competence by presenting new-fangled projects they have undertaken in their respective organizations before an eminent jury from illustrious organizations. Inspired with the over-whelming corporate interest in the On-the-Job Achievers' contest, the eighth edition shall see the introduction of the Financial Management Module in addition to the Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Systems & IT Management and General & HR Management modules. The Lakshya On-the-Job Achievers' contest is recognized by CII as one-of-its-kind in the country.

The previous edition of Lakshya held from 13th to 15th October 2006 witnessed corporate, student and media interest like never before. The who's who of the corporate world descended on the scenic NITIE campus to participate and witness the knowledge endeavor unfold.

In the previous edition, projects from organizations like ICICI Bank, M&M, DuPont, Marico, L'Oreal, BASF, Robert Bosch, HPCL, BPCL, Deloitte, L&T, 3i Infotech, Dr. Reddy's Labs, Patni Computers, Godrej Industries, were shortlisted for presentation to an eminent jury comprising of top management of reputed organizations like KPMG, HLL, Castrol, SAP, Infosys, Intel Technologies, ITC Ltd., E&Y, Accenture, Wipro, Dabur, GSK Pharma, Cognizant, Cypress, to name a few.

Another highlight of the 3-day mega-event is the felicitation of business legends like Mr. Ratan Tata, Mr. Azim Premji, Mr. Keshub Mahindra, Mr. Y. C. Deveshwar, Mr. Adi Godrej, Mr. Sunil Mittal, Mr. K. V. Kamath, Mr. Nandan Nilekani and many more the 'Lakshya Business Visionary Awards' for their outstanding contribution in defining new pinnacles of success for India Inc.

Celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship, Mr. Harish Mittal, Mr. Rajat Sharma, Mr. Kishore Biyani and Captain Gopinath were felicitated with the 'NITIE Empresario Entrepreneurship Awards' over the last two years.
