Lakshya 2005: Job Achiever's Contest to be held by NITIE, Mumbai National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) proudly presents Lakshya 2005, the annual confluence of corporate giants and budding managers. 5th August 2005 will see 7th edition of the mega event take off in the presence of eminent personalities from the corporate world. The inaugural session is followed by a series of events spread over three days, which would remain unforgettable for every individual associated with this unique interaction. The convener of Lakshya, Prof. Ashok Pundir, has set the greater standards to achieve the new heights this year. He says, "With the enhancement in the expectations from the industry, we are challenging every possible set back to fulfill the demand and everybody will see the miracle with the open eye." Lakshya is a one-of-its-kind platform for managers to present their path-breaking projects to the who's who of the industry. Lakshya is the event of inspirational interest for the corporate world to look at the contemporary scenario. In this era of globalization where competition is the order of the day, industries needed a platform where they could share their excellence among various industries and budding managers to not only show the world what it takes to be successful but also to improve themselves by gaining rich experience from others. PGDIE students of NITIE have always served industry as pillar-stones. So they took this challenge as a responsibility and "Lakshya" was born. Lakshya is a unique endeavor by PGDIE students of NITIE to not only improve Industry-Industry interaction but also to improve Institute-Industry interaction to keep students updated with current requirement of industry and prepare them to handle their respective portfolios more effectively. This is very well reflected by its growing popularity across all the sections of business in India. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) supports Lakshya and recognizes it as one of its kind in the country and promotes to strengthen the bond between industries and the institute; fostering and disseminating developments and trends; bringing closer the expectations of the industry and the deliverables from NITIE.
