Samiksha Session at NITIE Proves to be Students' Delight

Conceptualized to promote greater interaction between the industry and academic community, the Samiksha Session on the 10th August 2007 was student's delight. The topic for the discussion was "Where is the Rupee Heading?" and the speakers included eminent personalities from the relevant sectors.

    Eminent Personalities from Industry & Academia Participating in Samiksha at NITIE

    The students were first presented with insights on the topic by each speaker. The points brought forward by the speakers included the movement of the value of the rupee over the years, the impossible trinity, impact that the appreciation would have on the different players, on imports and exports, the role of the RBI and whether it has been doing justice to it. The other topics included effect of oil prices, effect of US economy on Indian rupee and international trends.
