Inter B-school Sports Meet 'Arena' Held at NITIE, Bombay

"I always turn to the sports pages first, which records people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures."

Sports serve the society by giving vivid examples of man's achievements and excellence, of hard work and perseverance, of team-spirit and devotion. Sports brighten us up, both physically and mentally, and imbibe in us the values that are required for being successful in any field of work, especially management.

ARENA is the first ever Inter B-school Sports Meet organized by NITIE wherein seven colleges participated, namely, NITIE, NMIMS, JBIMS, K. J. Somaiya, S. P. Jain, Sydenham and Welingkar. The sports included were Cricket, Volleyball, Football, TT and Badminton. The event went on for two week-ends, 20th and 21st of October, and 27th and 28th of October.

The clear overall winner of the trophy was NITIE with 115 points followed by NMIMS with 90 points. The other winners in various events were NMIMS in Cricket, K. J. Somaiya in Football, NITIE in Volleyball, Welingkar in TT, and NITIE again in Badminton.

Prof. Khanapuri and Prof. Kamble congratulated the sports secretaries Manas, Ramesh, Rajesh, Lalit, Vikas, Kartik, the students of NITIE and all the participants for the successful event at the closing ceremony and distributed prizes to the winners.

    Concluded.
