Successful Women in Management (SWIM) is an initiative by the students of Great Lakes to create awareness among women about the essential traits required to assume leadership roles in different walks of life. It gives them an opportunity to interact

with eminent personalities from different walks of life, who have been recognized for their contribution in their respective fields.

SWIM aims to empower women with the required traits to assume leadership roles in both the corporate and social spheres. It provides the platform to make women aware, to draw inspiration from role models, and to transform their lives. It strives to empower them at an individual level, enabling them to enhance their contributions to society at large.

This year, the SWIM event is scheduled on the 12th of August at GNR Convention Center, Chennai. The event would be a platform for prominent women leaders across various fields to share their views and ideas on the many challenges Indian women face. The theme for the event is: "Women as Trail-blazers: Dreaming, Exploring & Discovering New Horizons".

The theme focuses on women who have had the mettle and conviction to venture into fields which were unexplored, and their story of emerging triumphant against all odds. The highlight of the event will be the Key Note Speech to be delivered by the Chief Guest, followed by a Panel Discussion on the theme, "Educated, Intelligent & Energetic, Just in Her 40s: Can She Still Pursue her Career Dreams?" This is to be followed by a Quiz and a Dance Performance.
