IIM-L’s Noida Campus offers First Certificate Programme in General Management through E-enabled Interactive Sessions

IIM Lucknow’s Noida Campus, which is developed as a Centre of Excellence in the area of executive education, is the first to offer Electronically-enabled Management Development Programme called e-CPMG (Certificate Programme in General Management)
This is an in-company programme that started from March 28, 2008.

E-CPMG is running at Genpact and has 119 participants currently. The program is divided into twelve modules. Keeping in mind the requirements of the industry, the modules are designed to create managerial and leadership competence among professionals. There are 120 hours of e-enabled interactive sessions (March 2008 - January 2009). Classes are held on every Saturday afternoon.

"The objective of this program is to develop managerial capabilities among the people who are at the early stages of their career to enable them to effectively make managerial responsibilities," says Prof. Ajay Singh, Course Director, e-CPMG. The program focuses on functional management skills, strategic planning & execution, and complimentary soft skill to enhance the technical expertise of the participant.

The participants are located in different parts of India. The participants of the present batch of Genpact are attending sessions from e-enabled classrooms located in Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Jaipur.

Most of the participants have one to three years of work experience. There is a two-way interaction between faculty and students wherein the faculty sits in e-enabled state-of-the-art studios, to offer courses and classes.

The programme invited applications from young executives having minimum 1-3 years of work experience. The idea is to provide management education to online young and talented professionals. For this course, the participants were nominated by Genpact. However, the institute released the final list after scrutinizing the individual application forms of these nominated applicants.

The students will be awarded "Certificate in General Management" by Indian Institute of Management Lucknow on successful completion of the program.

The pedagogy to be followed in this program will be judicious mix of lectures, case studies, exercises and live corporate examples. Peer discussions, presentations and assignments will be an integral part of the course. Pedagogy to a larger extent will also depend on the module and will be decided by the faculty for the module in consultation with the Program Directors.

    Concluded.
