From the 'Quad' (quadrangle) to the 'DH' (old/new dining hall), from the common room to the canteen, from the basket-ball court to the circuitous route towards new campus, TISS carries the story-line of our aspirations, achievements, emotions and
dreams. It's a microcosm of democracy where the utopian flavor renders a beautiful effect. It is a heterogeneous mix of social sciences, management disciplines, media & cultural studies, development works, disaster management, health systems, rural developments and entrepreneurship efforts. Be it the 'foundation courses', the mixed bag of first year students, to the elected students' body activities, it is always one blood-line rich in cross-functional experience and input.

Life here is a dominant shade(s) of green - the 'walk the talk' into the campus crowned by the green masts. The 'main lounge', the 'quad', is the seat of serious academic work, 'dram-soc' (dramatic society) activities to late night 'music & lyrics'! The wi-fi enabled stone-walled structure is really the heart of the college.

The library has an old world charm with rows of bound volumes, journals, dissertations, like infinite stories of a long educational saga. The Internet Centre would soon be augmented with the 24X7 cyber-library being set-up.

Life in campus revolves around the dining hall and canteen. Lining up for the meals, cribbing over 'peeli daal' and extra 'papad' to class-break snacks at the canteen, there is always a random movement along the cross-roads. Hostels are few, measured in numbers, beds, not many in the first year have gotten into, but still, there is always space, when needed, like an extended family.

And for the ardent animal lovers, TISS is the perfect eco-system! Dogs and cats are pampered with a lot of love; there's an animal lovers' club too. It takes some time to figure out their names but in terms of affections, tongue-wagging, glistening-eyed, they never fall short in reciprocation!

'Tapri' is not TISS but none the lesser either. About a couple of minutes walk, this shanty serves tasty 'Maggi' and lemon tea. The 'adda' outside on the concrete slabs ranges from college su-do-ku to social sermons - words-worth always!!!

The new campus tucked further inside, shares its perimeter with BARC. The management studies, disaster management centre, the entrepreneurship classes are held here. The new Convention Centre is a prominent structure. With a collage of 'India Shining' circumscribing its walls, this glass-walled auditorium has state-of-the-art facilities.
