XIM-B Hosts National Seminar on Operational Management, "Ashwamedh 2008"

Every year, XOPS, the Operations Association of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar organises a National Level Seminar on Operations Management. The aim of this seminar is to provide a platform for corporate and students to come together
and brain-storm over various issues that are pertinent to the current management scenario, from an operations perspective. This year, the topic was "Competing in a Flat World: An Operations Management Perspective". The event was sponsored by Cognizant Technology Solutions.

Eminent personalities from the corporate world like Mr. Debapriya Dasgupta, Director & Chief Architect, Associate Vice President - Technology at Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), Dr. R. K. Sinha, Chief Operating Officer - Marketing & Operations, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.(GCPL), Mr. Jiten Sandu, Head - Consulting, i2 Technologies, Mr. Sainath Radhakrishnan, Managing Director, ABN AMRO Central Enterprise Services Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Sam Ellangalloor, CEO, Airtel Telemedia Services, West Hub, Mr. Shankar P., Head - Shared Services, HR, Satyam Computers, and Mr. Rakesh Suvarna, DGM - Operations, ICICI Bank, were invited to present their views on the topic, and participate in the discussion. XIMB's Dean (Academics), Prof. W. S. William was the moderator for the event.
