Well, I have got many friends here and all of us have a best friend in common. Guess who? - Google. It's a wonderful companion and our solace during tough times. As soon as a deadline for presentation is set, the first thing we look for is this world-famous search
engine. And then, the countdown begins. Sometimes, we have to stay up almost all the night to complete the assignment / presentation in time. The greatest advantage is teamwork. If we can identify the capabilities and strengths of our team-members, half the work is done there itself.

I am glad to say that we have a very rich library here. It consists of tens of thousands of volumes including databases related to many companies and huge amount of research material. During regular hours, we hardly get any time to spend here. So, we spend some time after the classes.

In the month of September, we had Samathis. It is conducted here every year. It is an internal B-school event. This time, the punch-line has been "Meeting of the Finest Minds." We conduct five Samathis - Finance, Operations, HR, Systems and Marketing - on different days. Each one is conducted in a unique way. We have different competitions like business Quiz, Paper Presentations, Case-Studies, Ad-making, Poster-making, etc.

On each Samathi, experts in that particular field contribute their ideas and opinions to the students. We had many inspiring and informative lectures from corporate leaders and various industry experts. During these events, we learn a lot of things - how to handle things in practical situations, time management, leadership and teamwork. The best part of it is we get a chance to widen our knowledge and view things from different perspectives.

In the coming months, we have a Sports event and Sanskriti - a national level B-school event, organized by IPE every year. Students from different B-schools in the country participate in this event. It is a grand event. We are only hosts here. Students from IPE do not participate in this event. Only the students from other B-schools get the chance. The whole event is conducted by the students including the generation of funds for this event, getting sponsorships, planning, organizing, etc. I will be updating about these events in coming days...
