He has been an international expert for Research Grants & Scholarships Directorate of Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), a member of State Task Force of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) on India @ 75 of

Uttarakhand, Technical Advisory Board to Controller of Certifying Authorities, Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India, and was a member of All India Management Association and PNB Institute of Information Technology, India.

Prof. Bhasker has rendered professional consulting services in the area of information systems planning, network design, electronic commerce to Ernst & Young, BHEL, NABARD, HPCL, Government of UP. He has conducted Management Development Program, 'Electronic Commerce: Enabling Technologies' attended by information technology business leaders. He has also done a workshop on Internet Commerce Strategies for Ernst & Young India Ltd., at Delhi.

Prof. Bhasker holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, with Dissertation on 'Query Processing in Heterogeneous Distributed Database Management Systems'. He has published over 80 research papers in international journals and conferences, and is the author of three books on Electronic Commerce, Framework, Technologies & Applications.
