Prayaag '08, the inter B-school and corporate event of Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) took place from 24th to 26th October 2008. It kicked-off in its true spirit - 'A Synergy of Vision, Competence & Excellence'. This year's theme was 'Athena', which signifies Wisdom, Art, Industry, Justice, Skill and War.

The world of Athena in Prayaag '08 was open to the students and corporates from all over India. The event was inaugurated by the Director of JBIMS, Dr. C. Chavan. Numerous contingents from best B-schools across India arrived to be part of this huge event. Various teams enthusiastically participated in a host of events spread across three days, as their skills were tested in various areas.

The mega event, 'The Quest to Reach Olympus' was the ultimate search for the next business brain. With 12 participants short-listed from the best B-schools in India, the event was judged by an esteemed panel of judges - Mr. Govind Iyer, Managing Partner, Egon Zehnder International, India, Mr. K. V. S. Manian, Group head, Retail Liabilities & Branch Banking, Kotak Bank, and Mr. Rohit Shrivastava, Head (Strategic Planning), Contract Advertising. The event, in association with State Bank of India, included a press conference, group discussion, quiz, round involving risk taking ability and jury interviews. It was a true test of finding the best among the best.

Another mega event was 'Kwizkraft', where students were pitted against corporates in order to find out who knows more about the world around. Conducted by ace quiz-master, Dhananjay Shettigar and sponsored by TATA, the event was a perfect mixture of fun and intellect.

Other events included Paper Presentation on SMEs, Marketing Plan for Killer Jeans and K-Lounge, Press Conference, M&A Analysis, Equity Research, etc.
