HDFC Standard Life Ties-up with Manipal University; Launches Program in Insurance & Management

HDFC Standard Life, one of India's leading private life insurance companies, in collaboration with Manipal Education, India's premier academic and education services provider, has announced the launch a 3-month Certificate Program in Insurance & Management.

Announcing the launch of the program, Mr. Sharad Gangal, General Manager - HR, HDFC Standard Life, said, "Our association with Manipal Education, one of India's prestigious learning institutions, to launch the Certificate Program in Insurance & Management is in line with our efforts to provide the best-in-class learning, work environment, enabling culture and development opportunities in the insurance industry. The key objective of this program is to select, train, and groom talent from across the country to ensure a ready pool of insurance-trained sales professionls for the company."

"Branded as First Advantage, this 3-month Certificate Program in Insurance & Management is specially developed to cater to those individuals (MBAs, experienced and fresh graduates), who are looking for a rewarding career in the insurance industry. On successful completion of the program and post-assessment, candidates would be appointed as Sales Development Managers (Retail) at HDFC Standard Life," added Mr. Gangal.

The selection process for this 3-month Certificate Program on Insurance & Management will include written tests and interviews across the country in Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra. The course to be conducted at the campus of Manipal Education in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Calcutta and Mumbai includes a two-month classroom session and one month 'on-the-job training' at HDFC Standard Life offices.

The curriculum of the course has been jointly designed by HDFC Standard Life and Manipal Education in line with HDFC Standard Life's eight-step structured sales process known as 'Disha', apart from concepts of insurance and areas related to sales.
