The team from SJMSOM, IIT Bombay created history by being the first ever team from India to reach finals of the NUS Cerebrations Global Business Challenge, the annual flagship event of NUS held at Singapore. The event saw participation from more than 200 colleges from across 30 countries. This is the second time in the last five years that the team from SJMSOM has reached the semi finals (the only Indian college that holds this distinction).

In a fiercely fought battle the team of first year students from SJMSOM beat ISB, Hyderabad in the Semis to reach the finals where they achieved the runners - up position. The third team to reach the finals was from NYU - Stern. The team won several accolades for the country and the college in an international event of such scale. The team from Duke University won the event.

More than 500 teams had submitted their entries for the event. After five elimination rounds, 6 teams qualified for the semi finals and after the semi finals three teams made it to the finals of the event where the CEO's, CFO's and the who's who of the Singaporean business community were present as judges. The two day long battle culminated with a corporate dinner.

    Concluded.
