Prateek: The Quest to Symbolize Organized by FMS, Delhi
Last Date for Submission of Entries: September 15, 2005

Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi in alliance with Hankuk University of Korea is pleased to announce the launch of a nationwide competition 'Prateek'.

Prateek, emulated in the form of a case study, is about giving names to the two products, namely socks and DVD players. These products are to be introduced in the Indian market by an established trading house in Hong Kong. This organization has primarily been involved in trading of various essential commodities in its surrounding regions and now seeks to penetrate different markets with new products. The aim of the organization is to finally build upon another business model in an emerging market.

The most important parameter to be kept in mind for this exercise is the fact that the names suggested should have an Indian flavour to them. Various other parameters that are to be taken into consideration have been highlighted through a dialogue. The details, rules & guidelines as well as format for sending entries for this competition can be found on http://www.fms.edu/prateek/
