MICA's Annual Brand Management Festival 'MICANVAS' Offers Unique Opportunity to International Students

MICANVAS, the annual brand management festival of MICA recently launched its international event Colloquium, scheduled to be held on the 6th of November, 2009. The event, which rigorously tests participants' analytical as well creative skills, sees participation from some of the best management schools across the globe.

This year, MICA has elevated this event to an all new level. Apart from the impressive prize money of USD 2000 and USD 1000 for the Winners and Runners-up respectively, MICA is also offering all international participants the unique opportunity to experience the real India. A week long immersion programme will be organised to ensure all participants experience the Indian culture, study the much talked about corporate scenario and understand the Indian consumers' psyche first hand.

MICA's Director, Professor Atul Tandan strongly supports this initiative taken by MICANVAS. "India is fast emerging as a global economic powerhouse, and provides a young and vibrant market - a repository of opportunities waiting to be explored by the business leaders of tomorrow. The week long immersion program offered to the international participants will help them experience India's diverse culture, as well as study some of its best business practices." he says.

Colloquium, introduced in 2007, provides a much coveted platform for some of the best minds in India to compete with their counterparts from across the globe. The event has played host to international students from partnering institutes in countries across the globe such as Australia, France, Peru, Singapore, UK and the USA, and seen unmatched participation from Indian institutes such as ISB, IIMs, XLRI, FMS and MDI along with corporates such as ICICI Bank, Big FM and Mudra, to name a few.

In keeping with the fest's theme - 'The Market Renaissance: Harnessing The Winds Of Change', Colloquium addresses one of the biggest changes currently sweeping the world, the green consumerism movement. Highlighting the global concern about sustainable development, this year Colloquium is based on Eco-labelling, a method to spread awareness about green products. The event aims to bring forth an inclusive global perspective to the theme by exploring the consequences of this changing paradigm on the environment.

MICANVAS 2009 will be held on the 6th, 7th & 8th of November this year at the MICA campus in Ahmedabad.
