Third Day of Lakshya 2005 at NITIE, Mumbai
The same session consisted of the felicitation of Mr. Kishore Biyani as Empresario Most Inspiring Entrepreneur of the year. Mr. Kishore Biyani said, "No religion or philosophy expects people to inculcate saving habits then why are we Indians always saving?" He believed that consumption could drive economic growth.
It was followed by B-Plan Contest where five selected teams presented their B-Plans in front of jury members. The contest was in three stages, where the first stage selection of B-Plans. The second stage involved mentoring of students by entrepreneurs for refinement of the B-Plans, which went for three months. The final stage was presentation in front of juries who were venture capitalist and entrepreneurs. Two teams from IIT Kharagpur and VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur emerged as joint winners with their B-Plans Iviz and Picklezz respectively. It was followed by Spardha - entrepreneurship game and interaction with Dr. Madhu Mehta, Chief Architect, Nirma Labs. The first two days of Lakshya saw felicitation of Mr. Ratan Tata, Mr Subir Raha and Mr. K. V. Kamath. The winners in four modules of Lakshya were: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. in Supply Chain Management module, Marico Industries in Operations module, GE Software Solutions in Systems and IT module and Mahindra & Mahindra in General & HR Management module. The overall winner for best project went to BPCL team for their project on 'Shipping of Crude Oil'.
