NIRVAAN 2005 @ IIM Lucknow
October 28-30, 2005

Entrepreneurship is a subject that has often got left out in the realms of management education in India. There are very few Business Schools that lay emphasis on this stream of management.

Abhiyan, the students' e-cell at IIM Lucknow, believe that Entrepreneurship is a great option after a B-school, and the students need to be given as much exposure as possible to entrepreneurship. Nirvaan is India's only event, which will focus completely on entrepreneurship.

Successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists address the students about themselves, their business, and how they turned their world upside down by opting for entrepreneurship. The end objective, at the end of this event, is to help a few students to make a transition into entrepreneurship. Towards this, a Business Plan Competition has also been organised, with entries from all over India. There were over 550 participants, and the top-ten teams will be assembling in IIM Lucknow on October 30th, in front of Angel Investors, Venture Capitalists and Academics, to present their ideas and get their feedback. The investors on the panel have also shown an interest funding the project. The top 3 teams in the finals would be getting virtual incubation facilities for their business plans, by Indiaco. They would have access to all required facilities by Indiaco, in order to help them make their business idea a reality.
