Intaglio 2005-06: The Annual B-school Meet at IIM Calcutta
"Motifs for Sustained Growth"
December 23-25, 2005

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta will host its flagship event - 'Intaglio 2005-06' - the annual business school meet, from December 23rd to 25th.

Sustainable growth is at the top of the agenda of both developing and developed economies.
The slowdown in expansion of the world economy in 2005 and 2006, in sharp contrast to the steep acceleration in 2004, portends grave challenges for businesses.

Keeping this uncertainty in mind, the theme for this year's Intaglio will be "Motifs for Sustained Growth". Intaglio has matured in many ways since its inception as the National Business School Meet and has today become one of the best business school meets in all of Asia. Intaglio continues its tradition of partnership with industry. The Intaglio Associate Sponsor this year is Tata Consultancy Services. McKinsey & Co. brings you the Strategy Expo; ITC presents Optimum, the Operations Expo. Indian Oil Corporation Limited brings you the debate contest Cicero's Senate and Tata Administrative Services is sponsoring the quiz contest Quizzical.

Reverberations, the showcase lecture series, sponsored by Cognizant Technology Solutions promises to be a humdinger. The forum brings together some of the finest minds from industry and academia. This year Reverberations will host the President of NASSCOM and the Forbes Face of the Year 2003, Kiran Karnik. Also delivering a guest lecture will be serial entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Rave Wireless, Rodger Desai.

This year, as always, Intaglio will be host to the brightest minds from the best business schools, both from across the nation and around the world. Teams from Harvard Business School, Wharton, University of Melbourne, Asian Institute of Management and the Lahore University of Management Sciences have confirmed their participation. There will also be the usual participation from all the IIMs and other leading management colleges of India. It will truly be a clash of giants as the teams battle it out in a variety of competitive events spanning the spectrum of management disciplines.
