MDI Grrgaon organises National Management Convention "DELPHIQUE 2005" on 12 & 13th Nov 2005

Management Development Institute's National Management Convention is India's leading Management discussion forum where some of the best minds from the industry converge to discuss issues of current interest across business functions with the students of MDI. The event comprises of discussion panels based on the various disciplines of management. Each panel has the most distinguished speakers from varied sectors of the industry. Delphique's uniqueness is that each panel is preceded by thorough background research by the student panel coordinators, guided by faculty and industry practitioners.

Delphique's uniqueness lies in its strong research focus which is the responsibility of the student panel coordinators. This research is guided by faculty and involves interaction with industry practitioners and live field research. The aim is to trigger fresh perspectives and raise thought-provoking questions for business leaders. This provides for a real exchange of ideas between the business leaders of today and those of tomorrow. The practical implications of research are clearly underlined, so that they are of interest to the industry audience.

The event so far

In the eight chapters so far, Delphique has attracted some of the biggest names from the corporate world. Some eminent panelists in the past have been the Late Mr. Shunnu Sen, Dr. Carlo Donati, Mr. P M Sinha, Mr. Raghu Pillai, Mr. Rajan Chibba, Ms. Kiran Bedi and Mr. N. Vittal. Delphique prides itself on the interest it generates across the top business schools of the country. Delphique includes participation of the top management from companies across sectors, including ICICI, SBI, IDBI, Citi Group, HDFC and HSBC from the financial sector, HLL, Pepsi, Philips, Whirlpool, Britannia, Marico and Reckitt Benckiser from the consumer goods sector, Maruti and Hero Honda from the automobile industry, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, IBM, Cognizant, Microsoft, Convergys, Bharti and Reliance from the Information and Communication Technology Sector.

The Delphique Compendium, published after the event, contains articles on the topics discussed in the panels, along with summaries of the opinions expressed by the eminent panelists. This compendium is sent to the top institutional libraries of the country including CII, FICCI, the Planning Commission of India, all the key corporate participants for their reference, and to the top 50 business schools of the country.
