IIM Lucknow is Organizing a Candle Light March in Memory of Manjunath Shanmugam

On 19th November 2009, Manjunath’s fourth death anniversary, the students of IIM Lucknow are participating in a ‘Candle Light March’ in the campus. The students will light candles in Manjunath’s memory. They will take a pledge to uphold the values of honesty and integrity in their daily lives. More than 20 colleges across the country have confirmed their participation. People from India, the US and UK have signed the pledge hosted at:

IIM Lucknow students, immediately after his death, showed their anger and solidarity with a candlelight march. Last year, at a similar event in colleges across the country, Raghavendra – Manjunath’s brother – said “this is the best way of honoring my brother’s memory. He would have been happy”. This year, too, the student community of IIM Lucknow wants to show to the world that Manju’s memory still lives.
