Shri Atul Kumar Rai Appointed as New Chairman of MDI, Gurgaon

Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, India’s premier B-school, takes pride in announcing Shri Atul Kumar Rai’s appointment as the new Chairman of Board of Governors of MDI. His appointment was applauded by members of the Board of Governors. The members felt that since MDI was promoted by IFCI Ltd., and with the appointment of Shri Atul Kumar Rai, the closeness between both the institutions will help MDI to achieve greater heights in the academic world. Mr. Rai has taken over from Shri N. K. Singh, former Chairman of the Board of Governors, MDI.

Mr. Atul Kumar Rai, CEO and Managing Director, IFCI Ltd., has been a member of Board of Governors of MDI. Prior to IFCI, Mr. Rai has worked for over 20 years at various positions in the Government of India where he was involved in a diverse range of activities from management to regulation, as well as formulating policies.

On his appointment as Chairman, Mr. Atul Kumar Rai thanked the member of the Board and observed that MDI is a powerful brand which needs to be further strengthened in geographical space through physical and virtual reach. He said that we will provide full support and guidance to ensure MDI progresses towards becoming a world class B-school.
