Bengal Institute of Business Studies, Kolkata Students Bag Rs. 48 lakh Offers

Bengal Institute of Business Studies kicked off this year's international placement by placing three final year MBA students in London based consulting company Judicium.

The students who were selected by Chairman of Judicium, Subhash Shukla, received offers of Rs. 48 lakh each. The selection of students clearly proved the fact that foreign players on recruitment drive in Kolkata were looking beyond the IIMs when selecting their manpower.

Talking about the phenomenal opening to the Placement program Executive Director of Bengal Institute of Business Studies Sonali Lahiri said: "I am happy with this fantastic response. The well researched curriculum and corporate interface at BIBS has definitely created a positive impact on recruiters. It has made them realize that at BIBS we create future managers who adhere to global standards." "What is heartening is that at BIBS we have ensured that the dreams of our students come true," she added.

Magryl Rynjah, final year MBA student, an erstwhile rock band player and part time bar tender joined BIBS as he aspired to work with an international corporate brand name. Similar is the story of Tarique Jamal, who incidentally is also a renowned tabla player. Sumona Sen, who has a legal background, has been ecstatic with this international offer.

This placement season at BIBS has seen Companies like Standard Chartered Bank, Mahindra Finance, Times of India, Eureka Forbes amongst many others recruit final year students which surely is a sign of things to come.

Concluded.
