Five ways to support Anna Hazare’s protest from office
Aug 18,2011
Anna Hazare and Jan Lokpal Bill is one of the hottest topics these days—everyone’s talking about it. A large number of people are joining Anna Hazare’s protest by coming out on roads raising banners and slogans against the government.
Many even got themselves arrested soon after Delhi Police arrested Anna Hazare.
Almost everyone, except some blindly loyal Congress supporters, are joining Anna’s protest either physically or virtually by expressing support through social media tools like Facebook and Twitter.
If you too want to join Anna’s protest, but for some reasons are unable to do that in person, here are some ways you can still be in…
1. Wear Merchandise T-Shirts
One very good way to express your support for Anna Hazare and his movement from office is wearing T-shirts, Nehru caps, etc. bearing lines like “Main Anna Hoon”, “I am Anna”, and carrying India Against Corruption logos. These things are easily available these days. For more information about it, log on to India Against Corruption's official website.
2. Online Activism
If you are unable to take to the streets to protest and campaign with other Anna supporters, you can still easily campaign using social media tools like Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and on other online platforms.
Tweet about it, post links, status messages, apply pic badges, invite friends to India Against Corruption's Facebook page while maintaining decorum of the social space you are in. Liking posts, links and comments of other Facebook users and retweeting tweets of others is one good way of spreading the fire.
3. Sport Black Armbands
Black Armbands are originally used as a sign of mourning. They became popular as a sign of solidarity in the April protest of Anna Hazare.
4. Educate yourself and others about Jan Lokpal Bill. Get the details on www.annahazare.org
5. File grievance: Use the constitutional methods: File a grievance to the Presidents secretariat using this link http://helpline.rb.nic.in/. Express your support for Anna Hazare’s protest—the more grievances they receive, the louder will be our voice.
Concluded.

I like the way Annaji has taken up this matter I support him
I have not come across a biased article as this in recent times. It's you who needs to be educated on the "Jan"-Lokpal Bill.If you even have a slight idea about the bill, you would know how demented one needs to be to support such a bill, which is wholly against the spirit of democracy.
You people need a serious change in your editorial team if u ever want to make it big.
Dear Enlightened
can you enlighten as why jan lokpal bill is not useful? and do you know even the meaning of word "Democracy"
Dear Enlightened
To start with...it seems you are not aware of what Jan Lokpal Bill is all about. Secondly, I don't think the article is biased as it is just some points on how to support Anna Hazare. After reading this article and your comment following, I felt that I should educate one about Jan Lokpal Bill n dats you (lucky u, bumper offer rite). So please read below the key features of proposed Jan Lokpal Bill to enlighten yourself...
1. To establish a central government anti-corruption institution called Lokpal, supported by Lokayukta at the state level.
2. As in the case of the Supreme Court and Cabinet Secretariat, the Lokpal will be supervised by the Cabinet Secretary and the Election Commission. As a result, it will be completely independent of the government and free from ministerial influence in its investigations.
3. Members will be appointed by judges, Indian Administrative Service officers with a clean record, private citizens and constitutional authorities through a transparent and participatory process.
4. A selection committee will invite shortlisted candidates for interviews, videorecordings of which will thereafter be made public.
5. Every month on its website, the Lokayukta will publish a list of cases dealt with, brief details of each, their outcome and any action taken or proposed. It will also publish lists of all cases received by the Lokayukta during the previous month, cases dealt with and those which are pending.
Investigations of each case must be completed in one year. Any resulting trials should be concluded in the following year, giving a total maximum process time of two years.
6. Losses caused to the government by a corrupt individual will be recovered at the time of conviction.
7. Government officework required by a citizen that is not completed within a prescribed time period will result in Lokpal imposing financial penalties on those responsible, which will then be given as compensation to the complainant.
8. Complaints against any officer of Lokpal will be investigated and completed within a month and, if found to be substantive, will result in the officer being dismissed within two months.
9. The existing anti-corruption agencies (CVC, departmental vigilance and the anti-corruption branch of the CBI) will be merged into Lokpal which will have complete power and authority to independently investigate and prosecute any officer, judge or politician.
10. Whistleblowers who alert the agency to potential corruption cases will also be provided with protection by it.
Thanks Enlightened to enlighten you
The person really needs the detail of Jan lokpal bill and also the meaning of democracy.
We all are with Anna ...
Jai Hind
I am not against Lokpal bill. Its the "Jan"-lokpal bill which has some serious flaws and no government on planet can ever pass a bill which is against the very spirit of democracy.
"It is also a truly frightening document. Not only does it demand, as a matter of statutory entitlement, a budget of not less than 0.25% of India’s revenue9 — to my mind, itself sufficient distortion to qualify as corruption — but it arrogates to the Lokpal all manner of powers, investigative, prosecutorial and punitive against everyone in public life, from the Prime Minister and judges of the High Court and the Supreme Court to your neighbourhood beat cop. The CBI answers to the Lokpal, and its anti-corruption wing is merged into the Lokpal.10 The Lokpal can investigate. It can prosecute. And it can impose penalties directly — including life imprisonment."

Dear Enlightened ! ,
No use of panicking, soon your Dads ill gotten money will be siezed once the bill is in action.
Manmohan had made a comment on annaji, that "Annaji should not be thinking that his words are not of the 120Cr people of india." But the fact is that its his voice which is of alomost 90% indians, and we have lost the faith in the so called democracy (in its rotten form) which is currently prevailing in India. Worst part is this Dummy man Manmohan is not even an elected member by the people and he is talking against Anna Hazare's public support.
And what is wrong in bringing everyone under punitive srutiny against corruption? Be it prime minister, president or judge? If any one is seeking exception, then there is some thing wrong.
In my opinion, the major reson for congress to defy that is, there will not be any MP left out for them if the Janlokpal is on action.
Also, Janlokpal has to have the power to investigate previous scams too, only then we can find out the truth about Rajiv gadhi and bofors scam.
please anna chunavi pratkrya ko bhi bill me rakkha jaye kyo ki chunao me bahut bhrasta char hai aak manak rakha jaye jise janta ka sahi matdan ho aur yadi janta samarthan us manak se kam de to polling nirast ho kyo ki loksabha me achchhe log hi jaye aur pradhan mantri pahle se decleair ho .
kas hamare desh ko kejriwal jaisa pradhan mantri aur anna jaisa president mil jaye to ham duniya me 100 year aange pahuch jaye ge hargav me log manav jivan ji paye ge jo sadiyo se janwaro jaisa jivan ji rahe hai kas mera ye sapna bhagwan pura kar de .
aisa lag raha hai ki goro ke pair hile to laga tha ki aajadi mile gi thik vaisa lag raha hai ki samaj me sabhi ko jine ka adhikar milega manav jivan badle ga.
eashwar appko sakti de.
