BHEL Bhopal achieved a turnover of 4780 crores

Gupta, Executive Director, BHEL shared the performance highlights and achievements of BHEL, Bhopal during financial year 2011-12 in the Annual Press Conference held at Computer Building Conference Hall, BHEL. All General Managers and Sr. Executives were present in the Press Conference.

  

Addressing the media persons, Shri Gupta said that BHEL, Bhopal achieved a turnover of 4780 Crores exceeding the set target of 4778 crores, a hike of nearly 19% over the previous year. The unit also earned profit of Rs. 801 Crores registering a growth of 15% over last year's probit before tax. On the export front, the Unit registered a growth of 19% over the previous year and total turnover in Exports amounted to Rs.1637 crores. Shri Gupta congratulated the employees for achieving excellence on all performance parameters and appreciated their undaunted efforts and commitment. 

 

Declaring a target of Rs. 6003 crores for current fiscal year, he said that keeping in mind the present business prospects in the power sector, the turnover target for 2012-13 is definitely a challenging task. But the committed and skilled workforce of BHEL, Bhopal can turn out this challenge into reality. He highly applauded the role of Representative trade unions of the unit in helping to meet the target and congratulated the workers, Junior Executives and Executives for working as a team and making BHEL flag fly higher. He also mentioned the current modernisation and expansion plans of the unit towards capacity augmentation.

  

Shri Gupta also highlighted the recruitments made recently and managements' efforts to provide them better facilities. He mentioned the CSR initiatives taken up in the unit and a special grant of Rs.50 lakhs package for Government College in the township under CSR. Highlighting the steps taken to renovate and modernize BHEL township, he also said that all out efforts are being made to make Kasturba Hospital the state of the art hospital. Shri Gupta complemented the media for their exclusive role in strengthening the positive image of BHEL, Bhopal.
